.Trust.

"The idea is not necessarily to have confidence in ourselves, but to have confidence and faith in God that he can make us into something wonderful"
-John Bytheway

I think the scariest part about the Gospel is the constant need of our Heavenly Father's help. I have to admit, I have trust issues, which is never a good thing and can sometimes inhibit my abilities to make a lot of close friends and so trusting in Heavenly Father seemed almost impossible. He had to take me through situations where his help was necessary. I think moving out to Utah was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I have ever been through. I learned more about myself and about how much my Heavenly Father loves and cares about me when I was all alone and miserable day after day. I would never wish to live through that again, but I would never trade the experience and knowledge that I gained from it.

"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." -Carl Sagan

I can't help but love this quote, mostly because of the changes that have taken place in my life over these past months. I've suddenly developed a great love for learning, in all aspects of my life. I want to always strive to become a better person, and be less ignorant to what is going on around me. It's amazing how much I've learned just by putting in the effort to look around and see what I can find that would inspire me.

.Manga!

Look at what I made! I was looking on Amy's blog and she had done a little version of herself at faceyourmanga.com. It was actually a lot of fun doing this. Try it sometime!

Does it look like me? Hmmm... maybe an older version of me...? eh?

.Yes, yes it is.

It's A Wonderful Life

Some of my favorite quotes from the movie:

George Bailey: I wish I had a million dollars. Hot dog!

Little Mary
: Is this the ear you can't hear on? [whispering in his bad ear]
Little Mary: George Bailey, I'll love you 'til the day I die.

George Bailey: What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary.
Mary: I'll take it. Then what?
George Bailey: Well, then you can swallow it, and it'll all dissolve, see... and the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair... am I talking too much?

Clarence: You've been given a great gift, George: A chance to see what the world would be like without you.

Clarence: You see George, you've really had a wonderful life. Don't you see what a mistake it would be to just throw it away?

Clarence: Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?
[George has discovered his brother Harry's tombstone]

Clarence: [explaining] Your brother, Harry Bailey, broke through the ice and was drowned at the age of nine.
George Bailey: That's a lie! Harry Bailey went to war - he got the Congressional Medal of Honor, he saved the lives of every man on that transport.
Clarence: Every man on that transport died! Harry wasn't there to save them, because you weren't there to save Harry.

Harry Bailey: A toast to my big brother George: The richest man in town.

Alright. After watching this movie for the first time ever, I have to say that it was absolutely incredible. I feel slightly ashamed that I waited so long to watch it, and that might be because I was missing out on one of the greatest movies ever made. I'm in the process of changing the way I think and feel about this life, and this movie definately helped that. You don't have to be rich and famous and powerful to be happy. You just have to see the life in front of you for what it is, and do what you can with it. I love it.

“ We’re fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.” -Japanese Proverb

mmm i just love this quote. I mean, we're all going through this life together, right? & we make mistakes, and look like fools but should that really stop us from living? Why waste this life, the only life that we have, being scared of accomplishing what we came here to do. Why stand in the corners when we could be dancing through something more fantastic than we could ever imagine. ♥
